Rafael Amaya Gesha

Jasmine, Lemongrass, Strawberries

Grown by Rafael Amaya at Finca La Virginia, this coffee is harvested following a strict ripeness criteria. It is exposed to a dry fermentation process of 20 hours with the pulp on and 35 more hours after pulped. The coffee is then dried on raised beds to ideal moisture content. This varietal was first discovered in Abisinia, Ethiopia in 1931. The Gesha varietal was planted in Panama for the first time in 1963 and in Colombia in 2005.
